How Pricing Works

Jacob Construction works on a "Cost-Plus" basis, which we believe is the fairest and most transparent arrangement for both our clients and our team.
In practice, this means we bill for actual time and materials, plus a fixed percentage that covers management, overhead, and profit.
We maintain detailed timesheets and provide copies of all receipts for any expenses.
Our standard rates are:

$75/hr (+GST) for a general contractor

$65/hr (+GST) for a lead carpenter

$40–55/hr (+GST) for an apprentice carpenter (depending on experience)

15% markup on materials and subcontracted labour. Receipt copies are included with weekly invoices.
